In the market for a Used BMW 840ci Transmission? We stock tested used transmissions pulled from running BMW 840ci vehicles across 1993-1999, available in 5-speed manual, 5-speed automatic (Steptronic). Skip the dealership markup with a used transmission sourced from a running donor vehicle instead of a remanufactured unit.
Transmission codes and options
The BMW 840ci (1993-1999) was offered with 5-speed manual, 5-speed automatic (Steptronic). Confirm the exact transmission code and drivetrain configuration against your VIN before ordering, since manual and automatic units are not interchangeable.
Where these transmissions come from
Every unit in our inventory is sourced from a low-mileage, running donor vehicle. Units average around 75,000 miles and are function tested before they’re listed for sale. We back every order with a warranty of up to 90 days.
Before installing any used transmission, it’s worth checking whether your BMW 840ci has any open safety recalls that could affect the repair — you can look this up directly through NHTSA’s official recalls lookup tool.
Not sure which transmission fits your BMW 840ci? Send us your VIN and our team will confirm the exact match before you order. Browse our full used transmission selection, our complete lineup of used BMW parts, and if you’re also replacing the engine, check our BMW 840ci engine listing to bundle both and save on shipping.
